Simple Green Bean Recipe - Everyone will love it

Green beans are so plain or over flavored. The combination of almonds, butter, lemon juice, salt and pepper is simple and flavorful without over taking.


I personally use this recipe as a standby for those unexpected BBQs.


  • Green Beans (frozen or fresh)
  • Butter (3 tbs)
  • Sliced almonds (1/4 cup)
  • Lemon juice (1 tbs)
  • Salt and Pepper (I use Kosher salt and fresh ground pepper)

Boil or steam Green Bean till just done (not to soft but not hard). Drain and set aside. In a frying pan melt butter and add the almonds. Once the almonds brown (not burnt), add the Green Beans, salt and pepper. Combine with tongs. Remove from the heat and add the lemon juice. Toss and serve on a small platter.
